We are so accustomed to endings.
If everything has to end exactly when it is supposed to?
The end of the day
The end of the trip.
The end of the chapter.
The evening is getting late.
The conversation is naturally winding down.
The last page of the book is almost here.
And yet, sometimes, there is a tiny voice that says -
"Not yet. Stay a little longer."
Not because there is something left to do.
But because there is something left to feel.
So the next time something feels good - Stay a little longer.
A place you don't quite want to leave.
A feeling you aren't ready to put away.
In a conversation where you enjoy the most.
In a moment of laughter that thrills you.
Because some of life's nicest memories aren't created by what happened next.
They are created by what we allowed to last a little longer.
Some moments don't need more. They simply need more time.*
Until we pause again.
